Happy 247th Anniversary America!
As we come together to celebrate, it’s important to remember our independence and birth of our nation was not easily won and it has not been easily kept.
Our Founders, serving in the Continental Congress, had an incredibly tough job and the stakes couldn’t have been higher.
John Adams recorded that only a third of Americans were for the Revolution, a third were against it and fought on the side of the British, and the other third were neutral.
It is also said that George Washington and the Continental Army were outnumbered 2 to 1, not counting the militia forces. Roughly 3%-6% of American combined forces fought in the Revolutionary War; that’s COURAGE!
The Declaration of Independence was born out of great struggle, fiery debating, divisive factions, a minority who supported it, and ultimately Congress unified in the cause of freedom.
Can We the People pledge to unite in the cause of freedom today; to remember the greater cause we serve amidst our disputes on how to get there?
Good governance requires robust debate and participation from a vocal representative republic to ultimately produce good policy, otherwise we leave it up to the establishment, uni-party, neo-cons, Rinos and THE LEFT.
If we are dissatisfied with our government, it is our duty to participate in and aid in its restoration and reformation.
The United States is the longest continuous government in the world thanks entirely to our Founders and founding documents that We the People have defended and preserved.
We must make our voice and vote count, otherwise we are silently complicit and ultimately responsible for America’s fate.
At Act for America, we’ve helped millions of voters make their voice heard and counted and, together, have achieved over 122 million direct emails, petitions, phone calls and public social media posts this past year alone.
“America is not governed by the majority; it is governed by the majority who participate”-Thomas Jefferson
Our founders, who’ve passed on our great inheritance called America, are standing as a cloud of witnesses, calling us to UNITE for the cause of freedom, to stand and fight together, to persevere through defeats, and never give up on America!
What a privilege it is to serve patriots that love our country and take a few minutes out of their day each week to make a real impact in the true spirit of 1776!
We are stronger together!

Have a wonderful 4th of July celebration!
