While a successful revolution may be a positive change for living conditions and freedoms within Iran, the inhabitants are mostly Islamic, and will continue to chant death to Israel, America, Jews and Christians, while promoting expansion of an Islamic caliphate.
So very little will change for the Western World if sanctions are not kept in place.

What caught my eye is the mention of internet blackouts becuase I've seen how effective those are in other uprisings, basically forces everything into guerilla-mode communication. Diaspora networks can amplify but there's always that lag between what's happening on teh ground and what gets filtered out to us. Had a friend who went through similar in HK and the disconnect between reality and narrative was wild. If Khamenei actually leaves, the vacuum period is gonna be chaos either way.
