According to the 2020 US population census, California 39,358,223, Texas 29,145,505, Florida 21,538,187, New York 20,201,249. These are the most populated states, with Pennsylvania at 13,002,700 and the rest of the 45 states coming in lower than that. Of those 4 states that dominate the population, its their large cities that hold the majority of the population. So if you abolish the Electoral College, 4 states along with the major cities of the US which are democrat would rule the nation. The democrats put out the call during Obama's time for democrats to move to Florida and Texas to turn them blue as well as going to open boarders to bring in democrat voters to those states. They know if they abolish the Electoral College, they will rule the nation. The rural states would have no voice in our government. During the Great Depression of the 1930's, Roosevelt spent tax payer money to put people back to work. He gave 60% of that money to NYC alone, the entire nation had to split the other 40%. When asked why he gave so much to NYC he replied, the mayor was a good friend of mine and when he asked for more money I couldn't deny him. Roosevelt denied that people were starving to death in the Midwest due to the dust bowls created by the severe drought. God finally got his attention when a dust bowl that was the size of 4 states moved to DC and dumped about 4" of dust upon the city. The democrats hail Roosevelt as one of their greatest, yet he was a very selfish man who thought of nothing but enriching his friends, the rest of the nation be dammed. In a speech in 1932 he blamed the Great Recession upon the Republican President who tried government spending to stimulate the economy, yet during the entire depression he spent more than the Republican he replaced and the nation remained in the depression which was followed by WWII. So much for his campaign promises of a chicken in every pot and his theme song that rainy days are gone, sunny days are here to stay. Tell that to the millions who were slaughter in WWII how sunny their days were. Jill Biden put signs of peace, love, etc. on the WH lawn shortly after entering the WH. Like Roosevelts sunny days, war broke out in Ukraine and Israel. My state is a small rural state with the majority of our population in the big cites, most of which are located in the NE part of the state. They tax the rural property owners heavily and that tax money is spent in the major cites with the rural areas are being destroyed. Businesses closing down right and left, hospitals and schools closed. Big city folks may think that farmers/ranchers mean nothing to them because they don't understand the food they buy starts on the farm/ranch. Heard it many a time as a Marine, "I don't need the farmer, I get my food from the grocery store." And that mentality will help rule the destruction of our nation if the Electoral College is abolished. Everyone needs a voice in our government.
