A 'National E-Verify Law' would go a LONG way toward stopping this invasion of illegal job stealers. Make EVERY company who hires a worker, vet that prospective employee through the existing E-Verify system, run by the Social Security Administration. Also make every agency which provides funding or benefits for any person also use the SSA vetting system. Make the penalties severe for any individual or company which does not vet these people, including the loss of their business license and jail time for the individual who refused to 'vet' the prospective employee or benefit recipient.
I had a friend who owned an electrical contracting company. He lost the bid on a very large apartment complex of two story wooden building. The building owner called him 3-4 months later and asked him to go there and look at the work that was being done. He said, "I know you didn't get the bid, but I think I have a problem. Can you take a look at it?"
When my friend looked at the electrical installation being done, he realized that the wrong material was being used, and what was being used was installed in an unsafe manner, creating a fire hazard.
It turned out that the contractor that got the bid, was using illegal aliens for 'electricians', but they did NOT know the USA National Electric Code, and did NOT have electrical licenses. However, the dishonest contractor was only paying his 'electricians' $10/hr, where my buddy was paying his real electricians $30/hr.
Not only are illegal aliens stealing jobs US Citizens and Legal Immigrants would do, they commit 8-9 times more 'serious' crimes than US citizens do. Legal immigrants on the other hand only commit 1/4 - 1/3 as many serious crimes as US Citizens.
