When the Afghan and Iraq wars began, I began fighting the good fight to support my fellow servicemen/women. In 05 I was teaching my Christian plant manager and his subordinates that the Marines are called the Presidents Own. That's because the President is a world leader and the Marines has a world mission to fight directly for the President. No other branch has that role. The Army fights for the Legislature, thus a national mission, they were to be sent to a foreign war only if the US is attacked or US citizens are attacked abroad. I also taught them about Japheth the judge in the book of Judges. He was the unwanted child, I was an unwanted child. The sanctuary cities of Israel were set up on the borders, and were for the unwanted, problem people, someone who'd accidently killed someone, or the petty thief who stole some food to feed his starving family. They could go there to seek asylum and the people could not come in and punish them. It was not for hardened criminals to flee, if they did go there, the people were allowed to go into the sanctuary city take them out and punish them for their serious crimes. Because the cities were located on the borders, the inhabitants had to become good at war or die because the enemy would attack through them to get at the core of Israel. That's why Japheth became strong military leader. When his people were overrun by their enemies, they went to him asking him to come back and help them in the fight to take back their land. I explained how the USMC is where troubled people go in hopes of finding a better life than the problems they grew up in. We were all running from something and our bases were located on the east coast, west coast, and the Arizona border, with 1 in Okinawa. They said interesting analogy, but were not sure we believe that. Sadly the left picked up on it because satan always tries to mimic God. How do I know the left picked up on it. 3 years later Obama was elected and they began setting up sanctuary cities. Only true to satan's nature, they were perverted and they allowed hardened criminals to seek asylum in their sanctuary cities and they were not protecting the US from foreign invaders, most were foreign invaders. Obama also tried to disband the USMC which would mean the President no longer had them to fight for him, thus crippling future Presidents. The French Foreign Legion is the only military unit I know that the West had which took in hardened criminals, but they were sent to the worst places in the world and had to fight till dead for the most part. The workers picked up on it when I told them it wasn't that long ago that a Judge would tell someone, boy you done screwed up, but I think you can be rehabilitated, so you have a choice, go to the Marines or go to prison. They stopped that practice around the Vietnam war timeframe. I told them no I did not go before a Judge in a court of Law who told me to go, I'm the one who judged myself and put myself there. Many loved the message, a few asking, did the Judge ever tell any to go to the Army, I said yes, it was on a case by case whether it was the Marines or the Army. When God sent me to Abilene, Ks to start my time with the Army, I spoke to a fellow Sgt telling him how I went down to join Army Airborne, but the Army recruiter didn't show up, so I ended up joining the Marines. He said he wanted to be a Marine, but the Marine recruiter didn't show up, so he ended up in the Army. I told him be glad God put you in the Army and not the Marines. I taught him these things as well as how I fought as a Marine to keep my boys alive and out of combat, telling him you will either fight the good fight which is the spiritual fight or you'll fight the physical fight. If you give up fighting the spiritual fight, won't be long and you'll find yourself in the physical fight which is combat, physical hell on earth. And while your fighting the physical fight, you'll still be fighting the spiritual fight, so its even harder than fighting the good fight. God chose not to place me in the Army physically, thus I live in a self made prison, my home, only going out if I need to conduct business or take my mother somewhere. As I told a young lady, fighting is all I know how to do, but I no longer carry guns, knives, and explosives, my weapons are the bible, prayer, and the my testimony of what God has done for me. Again, I'm the judge who said when I arrived in Abilene, I was there to begin my time in the Army and the reason why. Doesn't matter I'm in my later 60's, I know why I'm going through this. Each of us must work out our own salvation with God.
