As a child I loved climbing trees to the very top to look all around and see the sites. But there was one tree I could never climb very far because it was the Locust Tree and had thorns all over it that poked the flesh like needles. The scriptures describe Israel as the natural branch's of the tree with God being the root, and the gentile believers as the wild branch's grafted into the tree. Its a wonderful tree to climb because of God. islam is like the Locust Tree, its full of thorn's that hurt everyone who tries to climb it. The book of Joel starts out in vs 4 being titled "The Locust Devastation." In the OT days, they had locust and many other insects that would come upon the land and devastate their crops causing starvation and suffering. Today we have a locust infestation that's spreading around the world and its in the form of islam which brings devastation everywhere it goes. But as Joel speaks, it comes with the palmer worm and the canker worm and the caterpillar to devour the crops that the locust didn't devour. Today its the socialist, communist, and many false religions of idolatry that are causing devastation in our land along with the islamic locust, the same as the insects did in the OT days. As a teen I remember how the farmers would panic when they heard there was an army worm infestation in the state because it would devastate lots of acreage if not quickly dealt with. Yet today we've brought islam, socialism, communism, and many other false religions with their idols into our nation and wonder why do Americans have so many health problems, especially mental health problems? Why are our children rebelling and failing in school? Why have Americans lost jobs to a foreign invader? And the list of all these bad things they are trying to figure out why are they happening goes on and on. And do we panic over it like the farmers did over an armyworm infestation? NO! We want to tolerate it. Nonsense, you do not tolerate evil, you must deal with it or it will destroy you. The judgments in Joel came upon the nation because many of the people had backslidden from God and did what the pagans around them did. I see the same thing going on in our nation and the rest of the west. Oh we're Christians they say, but they live like the pagans. Doesn't fool God, He can see they are backslidden and far from Him. And because judgment has come upon the land, it will not stop until it's complete. However, judgment can lead to repentance if the people will realize they must repent in order to be forgiven. For judgment leads to repentance, repentance leads to forgiveness, and forgiveness leads to God's mercy. Many years ago a woman caught her husband in a bad act with 2 little children and made him tell me what he'd done. He didn't tell me the truth and I feared there was more to his story than what he told, so I spoke to the pastor. The man saw that and told me brother, I prayed and God forgave me, so please don't speak to anyone about this. As if that's all there is to it, pray and all shall be forgiven immediately. He ended up turning himself into the police 3 days later and confessed that he'd molested them 5 times before his wife caught him. He spent 3 years in prison for his crimes against those children. Perhaps he repented after his judgment was complete, that I don't know because I never saw him again. God has judged me for my sins, and forgiveness came once it was complete and I truly repented, not before when I begged for forgiveness because the judgment was severe to go through. If Mamdani is elected, it will bring more judgment upon NYC and all who have to deal with him. Judgment started upon NYC in 93 and has only become worse. After 9/11 they planted the "Freedom Tree". But the tree has failed to thrive and grow, its been in a sickly state with all the experts they have brought in to try and heal the tree, it remains in a weakened state. That's in the scriptures also, God will not allow that tree to thrive while they live in godlessness. The tree experts fail to heal the tree because they look at the physical, not the spiritual problem which is manifesting the physical problem. Not very expert. 30 years ago I read a book by a Christian Dr. called "None of these Diseases." I recommend it for all to read because he diagnosed the spiritual problem of the physical diseases.
